Waypoint welcomes the introduction of rangatahi
by other service providers.
We recognise that you understand the needs of rangatahi you work with, therefore we invite you to suggest interventions that you believe would be most effective and have discussed with them.
This approach works towards a positive and well-informed initial engagement, encouraging individuals to receive the support they need.

How to Connect Young People with Waypoint
As a practitioner, you have two flexible pathways to introduce young people and their whaanau to Waypoint services:
Option 1:
Waypoint Navigator
If you're exploring options or unsure which service best fits the young person's needs, connect them with our Waypoint Navigator by completing the referral form on our website.
The Navigator will work alongside the young person and their whaanau to identify the most appropriate service providers and coordinate their care journey.
Option 2:
Direct Service Provider Connection
If you've already discussed specific services with the young person and their whaanau and identified particular Waypoint Service Provider(s) that align with their needs, you can support them to connect directly with those providers.
Both pathways ensure young people receive coordinated, youth-centered support.
Choose the approach that works best for each individual situation, or reach out to our team if you'd like guidance on the most appropriate pathway.
